There is a turret in that room? The way i always do it is save one of the turrets from the hangar area and lug that back...AND MAKE THE DRONES DIE SQUISHILY MUHUHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

I actually never use this turret against the Drones. I use dual SMGs and then I rip the turret off and take it against the Brutes and the Brute Chieftan in the next area.

Yeah, I never knew either untill just a month ago.
It never comes in use for some reason though.
I just use the Battle Rifle.

There's a turret in the main canyon area? I always had to pick up the turret from the hangar and bring it over. I'd fire through the wire mesh and mow those drones to shreds!

A gravity hammer works really well against drones, if you time it right.

deployable cover

My cousin has that deployable cover/turret trick down. I, however, can never seem to get the cover in the right spot. It always... and I do mean ALWAYS... lands a few inches to far and I end up safe but unable to shoot through it properly. It ends up getting shot by me and the Drones. Nasty buggers.

Throw a deployable cover infront of the turret and you can shoot through and kill while remaining unharmed

i was playin halo 3 on co-op with my best friend on normal (my style to games is to complete the level on easy then work up to legendary) and on the drones we all take turns to shooting them but i think the health or the weapon needs a slight improvememt (sorry bungie)(oh, can't wait for halo wars on xbox360)

one thing bout Halo 3 i don't like. Sure ripping off turrets may make you feel like a badass but the point of a turret is to be placed at a strategic point and defend that area...not have some guy walk by and be like "Hey, I'll take that" and rip it off like most people do...

Am I the only one who doesn't rip the turrets off? (well, most the time)

I always use it to kill the suckers, *then* rip it off. Except on Legendary, in which case I hide behind a crate and kill 'em with the AR and BR.

Yes, I still play Halo 1

So do I. It's still a great game and it holds up even after all this time. Sure it's not as hi-res as 3 but the gameplay is still just as solid today as it was in 2001. ;-)

very good comic. now, is drones those flying annoying pests at halo/ if so, i dont like them. how do you get rid of them if you carry only an assault riffle and a pistol? (and two frags)

Yeah, either that or put a spike on the floor or wall just beofre they fly past. You can get almost all of them if you time it right. ;-)

You actually encounter Drones 4 times on Crow's Nest. The fourth time is when about Thirty of the buggers fly past you as you're en route to the elevator after arming the bomb.

Ahhhh, yes.

Not one of my favorite moments from the campaign. On legendary, a bajillion drones pour out of those vents. Maybe half a bajillion.
