38 - The rule of 3

I know this one is probably going to get me some nasty comments from people who like the movies I was having some fun with. But I finally worked Spiderman and a zombie in the comic! Go ME!

I also had one other award that I couldn't seem to come up with a decent image for. It was going to be the "New Police Academy" award for the series that wouldn't die and American Pie was going to win it. But I couldn't come up with a convincing sketch of Eugene Levy.

Comments

That Spiderman is epic.

How do you stay awake?
I never get to realy enjoy the bourn movies.
Ive sat down to whach all of them, but i havent seen any of them all the way through.

I keep falling asleep from the agentsy people talking for half a bloody hour!

I see two minutes of action, then i have to sit through all this talk,talk,talk,talk,tlka,talk(x100000)

Its just too much to stay awake for.

Hmm...
Isn't "I'm Matt Damon" a Team America joke?
Great comic(But THe Bourne Ultimatum did suck).

wut about oceans 13?
Yeah it was. And having the number "13" in it's title is a plus for me too. But alas, Oceans's 13 didn't meet one critical criteria for consideration.

I haven't seen it yet.

All the movies mentioned in here, even the bad ones, are flicks I've seen or bought on DVD/Blu-Ray/HD-DVD. I could not, in good conscience, praise or bash a film/game/book/comic I hadn't seen.

good strip and awesome spidey drawing.use him again sometime.
#25 - sdmblack@hotmail.com - 01/05/2008 - 11:58
I don't think the new police academy award would be proper, since all the police academy movies were still about the police. It should be more like the "National Lampoons" award with the way those movies have been made recently, Like Dorm Daze.
#24 - So? - 01/05/2008 - 01:39
about the movies
well, i must tell your views on spiderman and the shrek 3 (i think shrek 3 doesnt sucks, just doesnt comes to the whole level of the first) and in resident evil, i agree. some times, seques must not be done ,when the material is good. (of the first) also good point on american pie. it should sto mp at the american pie: the weddin

And how can you make fun of Sam Raimi,
Because he made me listen to Kirsten Dunst sing. TWICE!
#22 - ZZoMBiE13 - 01/04/2008 - 16:55
I liked Spider-Man 3...
And how can you make fun of Sam Raimi, the man behind the Evil Dead trilogy?

Anyways, I like your version of Spidey. He should show up more.
#21 - Monty Python - 01/04/2008 - 15:33
Bourne
The books are totally different from the movie from a plot p.o.v, but the styles are similar (i.e. you will definately know how to cripple guy within 5seconds after reading the books)

But if u like that style, u should check out other books from the original, no-deceased author Robert Ludlum.

They are all character driven stories usually about lone and oftentimes disowned figures who work against all odds, including their own government and former employers, to defeat a dangerous shadow organization bent on world domination. All while getting the girl at the end.

BTW, Spidey3 did suck humongous hairy McNuggets

It's not a bullet hole, it's just a bit of missing skin and rotted flesh.
#19 - ZZoMBiE13 - 01/04/2008 - 04:53
BAAAD JU JU!
There is a bullet hole in the zombies head. How is it still alive?
#18 - John Kenyon - 01/04/2008 - 04:40
keep it up
im sure there are a lot of silent fans out there that have been enjoying your halo commic work since the begining and here is one saying i hope you keep it up for a very very very LONGG time i hope to enjoy many of YOUR sequels HA!
#17 - generalchainsaw - 01/04/2008 - 03:34
But man...
...where Optimus Prime and the rest of the Transformers? There should've been an award titled "Biggest Fanboy Disappointment," because that's what I felt about the movie. :(

Regardless, I laughed at the last panel in this strip. Keep it all up!
#16 - PlasmaFire - 01/04/2008 - 02:05
Oh yeah, Bourne got the best award
#15 - Kreed - 01/04/2008 - 00:27
This is honestly..The best comic I have ever read. ZOMG. Honestly.
#14 - Blake - 01/03/2008 - 18:58
Yup
Pirates of the Caribbean 3 could have used fewer special effects and more plot. I still have no clue what the fuck was going on, even after watching it again.
#13 - Phaedrus - 01/03/2008 - 18:56
Bourne does deserve the kick-ass award
#12 - wolfy - 01/03/2008 - 16:47
Matrix award
I think
spider-man 1, 2 & 3=awesome

shrek 2 & 3=horrible

Pirates 1, 2 & 3=awesome

bourne 1 & 3=awesome (bourne 2 horrible)

matrix 1 = awesome. As for 2 and 3 they just were not as good as the first and I think thats why everybody thinks they suck.

#11 - PHANTOMFIRE X - 01/03/2008 - 14:24
Bourne??!
I've read all of the books, and the series of movies is still my favorite -- I don't actually consider one like the other. He's just got the same name, and he lost his memory. Just a couple of stories that have some parallels.

Good comic though. ;)
#10 - Spartan Jag - 01/03/2008 - 14:21
The bourne movies blow if you've read the books
Book readers always say this, and they're always correct. Novels, comics, whatever... the source material is always better than the products it spawns. But I never read those books so I loved the Bourne films. Now that they're all made and seen, NOW I'll read the books and have two great experiences instead of one (reading) and a dissappointment (film).

See how Smurt I is!
#9 - ZZoMBiE13 - 01/03/2008 - 13:22
All of the Bourne movies sucked..... The last one did as well. Other then that I think you are pretty accurate.... although I never made it to see the third Pirates movie
#8 - Mike - 01/03/2008 - 12:52
Demag0gue nailed it
The bourne movies blow if you've read the books.

Great cartoon though, keep it up!
#7 - JonnyOThan - 01/03/2008 - 12:38
You were this close...
Actually, I hated the first Bourne movie, but then again, I've read the original trilogy several times over and found the film lacking in every way in comparison. It didn't even come close to tapping into the awesomeness that is Jason Bourne. But hey, you can't win 'em all, right?

Enjoyed the slight deviation away from standard Halo fare for this one. :)
#6 - TTL Demag0gue - 01/03/2008 - 12:31
And the "Spot On!" award goes to... ZZoMBiE13
Gotta say you sussed it. Pirates 3 was such a let down I don't even remember the thing. Same for Shrek. But it's awesome you finally got Spidey in your strip! ^_^
#5 - MeKiwi - 01/03/2008 - 12:07
Awesome!
dude those awards fit perfectly. i liked pirates 3, but the first was the best though. keep it up!
#4 - crazedone1988 - 01/03/2008 - 12:03
See...
I thought Spidey 2 was dumb too. But agreed on all accounts... 'Matrix award':D
#3 - Sigafoos - 01/03/2008 - 11:41
I CONCOUR

#2 - nomis78 - 01/03/2008 - 11:18
