In Halo 2 in Metropolis...after you get get out of the tunnel the Marine driver would somehow hit me like that...nearly EVERY TIME...I can't count how many times I've tried to avoid it and failed MISERABLEY...thankfully that doesn't happen that much to me in Halo 3... nice comic btw. lol XD

It's not just Marines...

In the final escape from Halo, I had the AI Arbiter on the back of my mongoose with a rocket launcher. So we get to one of those circular areas with a bunch of flood, and as I'm driving over infection forms, he tries to kill them with the rockets. So much for that escape.

This has happened to me an unholy number of times.
Or the other classic: my hog has a marine riding shotgun with a rocket launcher, he fires just as a marine driven mongoose speeds past and the mongoose gets hit. So frustrating!!

i was on the gunner on tsavo highway playing as the arbiter and somehow the marine driving managed to flip the warthog so it knocked me out and crushed me with the gunner......now i know the human-elite alliance isnt exactly sound, but there are less complicated ways to kill me seriously!

The hard levels you play the smarter the enimies get and the dumber the marines get. this is so the game becomes more challenging

Why do the marines do that?

they are so fuckin stupid. they walk into your line of fire, run you over, get you blown up and shoot each other. i was playing Halo 1 last night and i was on "The Truth and Reconsiliation" level trying to keys out and those damned marines always shot him in the head or he walked in their line of fire or he ran straight into the covenant. him and the marines are fuckin dumbasses.

Poor old Chief.

The other day, I was playing the campaign level The Ark. I had got up to the bit where we get in the Gauss warthog. The thing is, the first time, the Marine sandwiched me between the warthog and a rock, killing me. The second time, the Marine got out so I could drive, then spent about five minutes just standing beside the warthog. The ghosts killed me just before he got in. In the next one, a ghost ran me over and the marine immediately got in. Stupid marines.

Even better is when the player wants in a vehicle being manned by a Marine, and they drive away. But their driving speed isn't fast enough to pull away, just enough to inch out of your reach.

It seems, in situations like that, I'm always liable to throw a grenade.

I've been ran over by them idiot marines hundreds of times, so now when I play halo I always make sure that I'm driving or I'm behind the car so that I ain't killed. But that never seems to work on the bridge in halo 2 'cause they always shoot the wall when I'm in the Scopine so I'm always left with no marines and a tank thats on fire so it takes me hundreds of times just to finish that damn level!!!

I never let a Marine drive a 'Hog, unless I'm driving something else, and even then they usually end up blown to bits or driving off a cliff or something. By the way, I posted a link to the Hollywood Halo movie with "Toby" in it on the mouse trap strip. You should watch it, it's hilarious.

i've seen worse. Yesterday while playing The Storm, i drove a mongoose with a rocket onto one of the crains to try and board the scarab. i'm sitting there waiting for a shot. the scarab turns to fire at me and as i start backing up the marine just turns down and kills himself. i was left saying "WHAT THE FUCK!"
